March 7, 2009

My day began with an 8am text from a friend asking if I was up for breakfast! Since I didn't get to bed until 3-- I ignored it and then she called at 8:30 and I got up and we went to the Belgian Waffle and Omelet House in Fort Union! Then, I went home, cleaned up and went to lunch with Grandma at Sizzler on 400S. Since it was my birthday, our server made me a strawberry sundae. Yum! Then, I went home, talked to my sister, answered some birthday texts and waited for my family to come over. When I checked my mail, I had a surprise package from one of my friends since elementary school: 30 different pieces of Seas Candies!!

When my family got here, my parents and I went to Home Depot where my dad bought me a new bathroom sink as a present and then installed it for me. Then, we all went to Taco Bell for dinner (my dad is sort of thrifty!), where we got free drinks because the guy at the counter was flirting with my 16 year old sister (good times!). Then, back to my house for homemade carrot cake made by Dad. I have had homemade carrot cake for almost every birthday of my life-- it's seriously my all time fav! After they left, I watched "Thirteen Going on Thirty" and "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days", worked out, set my clocks ahead an hour and went to bed! Overall, it was a good day spent with favorite people and hearing from lots of other favorite people in texts and on Facebook.

So, I'm glad your "real" birthday was enjoyable. I was glad I was on your list of invites for your get together on Friday because it was nice having girl talk with you and Stephanie.

Sounds like a super fun day! I totally love the fact that your dad made the cake...so cute. I think you are just the greatest and I'm glad I was able to (sorta) be a part of your birthday weekend!!!

Going out to eat for all three meals sounds pretty good to me.
