DayFive -- Mackinaw City, MI

We drove all day to arrive at the top of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan-- Mackinaw City. It was a long drive but getting to the city was worth it. It's right on the lake and our motel has it's own private beach that I walked along at sunset.

We did laundry. I went for a long walk on the beach and on the pier by the Coast Guard boat. The Mackinaw Bridge looks like a smaller, whiter version of the Golden Gate-- it's really pretty.

We had dinner at Nonna Lisa's-- an Italian place that has this whole Country Bear Jamboree feel to it. I've never eaten Italian while stuffed grizzlies, moose, deer, and antelope watch-- it's sort of strange!

Tomorrow morning we're going to go over to "The Island". Can't wait!
