it made me smile

After staring at my solid orange-no-longer-blinking "Maintenance needed" light for the last week, I figured I should probably just go and get the oil changed. I really don't like going in because they always check everything and show you little graphs of the work you need done and you end up spending more money and time there than you'd planned.

Today was no different.

One oil change, radiator flush, radiator cap (which I'm sure I could have replaced myself) and a promise to the worker guy that I'll change my air filter, I was able to leave.

But, on the plus side, the cute late mid-20's looking worker/manager guy remembered me from the last time I was in there (was it February?) and seriously greeted me with, "Hey, good to see you again! Where have you been hiding?" Wow. So, after we agreed on all the work to be done, he said he'd throw in a few discounts for me and once again, when I was paying, I got about 40% taken off my total experience (last time I think he knocked of about 60%), which is nice! As I was doing all the approving/paying, we had a quick laugh about something (I forget) and then he started telling me about getting off work and his plans to hang out at a coffee shop for a bit and I avoided looking at him because he kept glancing at me like he wanted a response! While this was going on, there were two 18 year old flirty girls (who, about 5 min before had admitted they thought he was really cute) in the waiting room watching all this and probably wishing they were the ones talking to him and having him smile, instead of me! Ah, sometimes being a puma* has its advantages--flirting for discounts, is one of them!

* a puma-- according to E! Entertainment-- is a 30-something woman who's checking out/dating/etc. 20-something guys (a "cougar" is a 40-something woman)
