Lisa finally left the hospital around 4:00 pm - it was her 18th day in the hospital. It took a while to get sign-off from all the doctors and make arrangements for the follow up visits, oncologist appointment, medications, etc. She will have a home health care nurse come in once a day for a while to do some dressing changes and follow up with other matters. She will meet with the oncologist this Thursday in Layton to plan chemotherapy. In the meantime, the objective is to get healthier, eat, eat some more, and take it easy while she is still healing from surgery.
We have to say that the staff at Huntsman Hospital were wonderful and made the stay as pleasant as possible. The sad part of her stay is that Lisa was never really well enough to fully enjoy the food they have to offer. Theirs is not typical hospital food. We'll be back there to the clinic for some appointments in the future and will enjoy their restaurants - they essentially have the same menus that patients choose from.

It is great to have Lisa home, and we all look forward to returning to a little more normal routine. She is still limited in what she can do and is quite weak from not having been able to eat much for the past month. Nutrition is going to be a major factor going forward. Ensure will be a staple for awhile.

Thanks again for all your support.

Roger
