"I'm leavin' on a jet plane [three weeks and] I'll be back again!

So, it's finally here: the Brilliant British (and Europe) Adventure! This has been in the works for a while and with all the stress of finishing up the school year, getting through testing, working on the last couple classes for my ESL endorsement and working on my Master's Degree, it's seemed like just one more thing to think about (and worry about). Once school got out, I realized that it was 5 days away! Now, I'm leaving for the airport in approx. 6 hours! You'd think I'd be able to sleep like a baby, but it's almost midnight and I'm tired, exhausted, really, and butterflies are attacking my tummy and I don't think I'll be able to sleep. Last night, after coming home from my parent's house, I couldn't sleep so I read Eclipse (the last book in the Twilight series)until I could barely see the words. Weird how reading about the crazy romance between a vampire and a human can put you to sleep :) I'm nervous because I have never left N. America before. I'm WAY EXCITED to finally see London though! We're going to a play at the Globe Theatre!! I have wanted to go there since, well, since knew you could go! And I get to see Versailles, a place that has fascinated me since Humanities my junior year of high school. AND we're going to Amsterdam, which, because my grandfather was actually from Holland, holds a special place in my heart! I'm really hoping I don't fall down the 400 steps it takes to get to the top of the Arch de Triumphe! Knowing me, I'll totally biff it and have scars for the rest of my life from the trip!

This whole thing will be a blast, I'm sure! (what's sort of ironic is that I got 2 texts today about 20 second apart that both said, Have a blast!-- weird.) Anyway, since I still have Master's homework to do so we have to find internet somewhere, I'm sure I'll add some notes about what's going on across "the pond". ... Cheerio!
