I happened to be at BYU yesterday before the Homecoming game for the Central Utah Writing Project. After the three hour session, my friend, also a BYU alumnus, and I walked over to the BYU Bookstore to get BYU apparel. I, honestly, never bought a shred of BYU wear while I was a student; all my family members acquired items but I never did. Deciding that 8 years after graduation and a week before earning a Master's from another university was time, I bought a hoodie and a t'shirt! Then, being the photo nerd I am, I had to have my picture taken in it in with the Y in the background.
It was sort of strange being back, especially since the building where I spent most of my undergrad time had been totally remodeled and looked nothing like the orangish/redish dungeon I remember being in for all of my English classes. While wandering by the library, I came the realization that I am really glad I had the "BYU Experience" and for all the amazing people I met while I was there.
