Friday night I pulled out a pair of decently dull scissors and proceeded to hack at my hair in the semi-darkness of my dining area looking in my Ikea mirror from about 6 feet away. (Gees! I knew when I was doing it that it wasn't the smartest of ideas, but writing it down makes it sound almost barbaric.) Anyway... I ended up leaving a pile of hair ends on the tile before I went into the bathroom, turned on some lights and tried to even it all up. As I was literally hacking at my hair, I kept thinking about a certain guy who used to be in my life who wanted my hair to be longer and the more I thought about that, the more I wanted to cut. At the end of the tirade, I ended up with hair just below my ears and too short to be in a pony tail. While I should probably go get it cut by someone with better perspective and lacking an angry vengeance, I'm too embarrassed to tell someone I used old scissors and a bad memory as reason for chopping my hair.
I wore a stretchy head band thing to taekwon do today and it worked ok so maybe the hair will be alright.
It sort of reminded me of that scene in "Little Women" when Jo cuts her hair for money and everyone gasps when she takes off her bonnet!

What a girl will do in desperate times! Fortunately, it will grow back!
Yah, I got my hair whacked off about a year after my boyfriend of 3 years and I broke up. It was really long, so I donated it... vengeance and service (I think I still cried about it. I got it cut really short!
No picture for us? I bet it looks cute!!
I think it looks great! You are more talented than I am; mine would be inches short & choppy!!
