Oreo Balls

Last night I went to the Taekwon Do Christmas party for people who study with my instructor's instructor. I was hesitant at first to go, but it ended up being really fun and I got to know some of the people I see at all TKD things better. What's funny/odd about TKD is that you call people sir and ma'am and you don't always know their first or last names because it's not always necessary-- so it was nice to get to know the "personas" behind all the belts. One lady is a child psychiatrist at the UofU. Another guy has written Foder's travel guides for Yellowstone and Zion's Nat'l Parks. Someone else is a yoga instructor at a spa. I love the diversity and yet we're all bonded by TKD patterns and skills and such.

We did a pot luck thing and this one blue belt made Oreo Balls! Heavenly! I got the instructions from him:
1 pkg Oreo cookies
1 pkg cream cheese
White chocolate (for dipping)
Milk or dark chocolate for decor

Mix Oreos in a food processor until thoroughly crushed. Add in softened cream cheese. Blend until completely mixed.

Roll into little balls and refrigerate for about an hour.

Dip cold balls into melted white chocolate using a tooth pick to coat all over. Let cool. Dribble chocolate over the top to make it "pretty".

Speaking of food... Did you know there are snowman marshmallows by Kraft? I found them at one WalMart and no where else-- they are French Vanilla flavored and really addicting (I've eaten a package since Saturday).
