Hope springs eternal in the human breast; Man never is, but always to be blest.
Day 14 in the hospital. Mom looked a gazillion times better today. The good news is that all the fluid from her lungs wasn't infected and they have started her on the liquid diet again-- hello orange and green jell-o! They have a possible release date today for Thursday! fingers are crossed! In a strange twist of events, they did a sonogram of her belly to check on the fluid levels in there since it's so swollen and discovered there isn't any free floating fluid (say that 10 times fast!)-- it's just swollen from the cancer and surgery and whatever else is going on in there. At this point, they need her to eat real food without barfing it up and then the food needs to pass through her system and come out before they'll let her leave or start chemo. Tomorrow the main doc is supposed to go see her and hopefully have some release/chemo news!
Thanks to everyone for the prayers and for putting her name on prayer rolls at temples! I know my parents feel the sustaining power of them (as do I as well). It reminds me of when I was a missionary and I learned that you can actually feel people's prayers for you when you go through challenging as well as normal days.

I like how you put your quotes on Facebook so we can tell whenever you've been updating the blog.
I'm glad to hear your mom is doing better and I hope she gets to come home soon. Know that you are in my prayers!
