tomorrow is another big day

Mom goes in tomorrow to get her port put in! While it sound invasive, it will be a fabulous thing so she doesn't have to worry about IVs of all the junk they have to fill her with. Having a port will be better than when she had the PIC line because it has a very small risk of infection and everything, from liquid, to chemo, to CT scan liquids can be put in it. She's still struggling with nausea and has lost about 15 pounds in the last week due to throwing up. She's trying to eat more to get more nutrients and to keep some weight on.

I didn't make it up for dinner last night and this is the longest I've gone without seeing my mom since we found out about the cancer. I'm going through withdrawals after only 8 days.

Thank you to everyone who is praying for her and our family. She's mentioned to me that she feels the prayers and they help her get through her bad days.

We have a team put together for some cancer fund raising for the Huntsman Institute. If you would like to donate to this wonderfully, amazing cause, click here: Cold Turkey 6k Kick the Stuffing Out of Cancer. If you will be in the SLC area on Thanksgiving, the race is at 9am at the State Capitol and you can join our team here: en.JOY.ing Life
